Hanafuda guides
Last year, my partner gave me a hanafuda game as a present. I was very excited, but I didn't know how to play! I searched for the game rules on the internet and learned that multiple games can be played with the hanafuda cards (or just hanafuda, because it already means 'flower cards'), the two most popular being Koi-koi and Hachi hachi.
I looked for the Koi-koi rules, but I came across different variants of the game, which made it quite difficult to understand how to play. But more importantly, I needed a way to memorize the cards.
Using my experience as a former board-game graphic designer, I made short printable guides to learn how to play Koi-koi and to memorize the cards. All the guides are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0, so that everyone can use them, translate them if needed, and share their love for hanafuda.
